The mp3 of this song can be downloaded HERE.In the beginning Back in eighteen fifty five Man didn't know four billion years ago The world had life The white man made up gods The black man had them too Everybody's thinking "this will do" But Charles Darwin had some news He said: "Let there be slime", and there was slime "Let there be fish", and there were fish "Let there be mammals", and there were mammals "Let there be apes", and there were apes "Let there be man" And it came to pass That life on earth was spawned And the holy man said that god's own hand Created every form And with the bible there to tame us The evangelists got rich And god help those who ever dare suppose The science doesn't fit But there are fifteen squillion reasons For learning Darwin's way And the creation myth was stricken Cos this is what Charles had to say: "Let there be slime" "Fish" "Mammals" "Apes" "Let there be man" One night way back in the mists of time A creature crawled out from a pool of slime And the creature evolved as the aeons went by And eventually Darwin popped up and cried: "Let there be man"
